#1: Thai Kitchen

Spokane Restaurants

We don’t like to play favorites, but when we gaze out the doors of our building, Thai Kitchen is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. We hop, skip, and jump over there quite often (Thai Tuesdays, anyone?). So frequently, in fact, that the owners created a World Wide Group sign for our table!

If you love Thai food, you will love Thai Kitchen. They are family-owned, authentic, and every dish is made fresh when ordered. Make this your lunch spot when you have a few extra minutes and a hankering for Thai (tom yum soup and cashew chicken are the most popular at our table!). Call in your order ahead of time for quicker service and enjoy the comfort of the best Thai food we’ve ever had. Stop in more than once and you’ll likely be remembered by name.

Trick of the trade: This is NOT fast food. It is slow, amazing food that is well worth the wait!

Embers by the Lake might be a few minutes out of your way, but they’re well worth the extra drive. On the jaunt out there, you might be met by a mama moose and babies, deer, and other inland PNW local wildlife. Walking in, you’ll be surrounded by good vibes and a huge woodfire pizza oven pumping out some amazing pizza pies.

Husband and wife owners at Embers quit the hustle and bustle to slow things down a bit. “Slow things down” to them means making and serving pizzas four days a week and charming their customers with fun conversation, craft beer and wine, appetizers, incredible pizza, (make sure you try the “Goin’ Back to Cali” and “The Reuben”), and lemon pie gelato for dessert!

Every season at Embers offers something for everyone. Watch whatever local game is on at the bar (pro tip: The owners are of the Seahawks persuasion). It’s a snow globe in winter with s’mores over the fire on the heated patio, and the lazy days of summer offer incredible sunsets and live music overlooking Hauser Lake.
